UBCM wants to #Pick UpThePace

PACE BC were delighted that municipalities across BC voted almost unanimously  to #PickUpThePace. In late September, the City of Port Moody brought forward a resolution at the 2019 Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) convention calling on the Province of British Columbia to develop PACE enabling legislation, an initiative that was spearheaded by PACE BC co-founder Amy Lubik. The resolution passed with flying colours!

PACE BC members attended the conference, speaking to hundreds of municipal leaders around the province about why we need a strong PACE program in B.C. It was apparent from the conversations we had, and the support the resolution received that B.C. municipalities are eager for a strong PACE program that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and create thousands of local green jobs.
